History Of The Practice

The Practice was established in a small shop in May 1989 at the High Street, Studley. At this time we treated pets, horses and farm animals. Origonally we had one Vet, Dr Peter Haseler and one student nurse / receptionist.  Very quickly the practice out grew the small premises and in February 1992 moved to 21 Station Road, Studley.

We continued to see large animals until 2011 when we were forced to stop owing to personal injury.

Station Road Centre has been gradually expanded with new facilities being introduced including digital x ray equipment, large quantities of lab equipment and cardiac monitoring facilities. We became a nurse training centre with Dr Chris Haseler as an assessor and qualified as a tear 2 practice at the launch of the practice standards scheme

In 1994 Dr Peter Haseler started to specialise in Dentistry and now takes referrals on a regular occasion

Dr Chris Haseler became interested in Acupucture in 1996 and uses this alternative medicine regularly alongside conventional medicine

  • February's Pet of the Month
    February's Pet of the Month

Neville is our February’s Pet of Month! At only 5 months old, he is our youngest recipient of the award.

At the beginning of December, Neville was diagnosed with a stomach upset known as gastritis. Even with medication his condition did not clear up. It was decided that further investigations were required such as x-rays and laparoscopic surgery to get to the bottom of what was going on.

Neville was so brave and recovered well from his anaesthetic and investigations. With results from biopsies and a change of diet to include more fibre, Neville is feeling much better.

Neville is such a cheeky chappy who puts a smile on everyone’s face here at Acorn.

    Well done Neville!
